The great thing about being a summer festival is that you get to hibernate over winter. With that comes months of dreams of the forthcoming summer and the ideas within those dreams. We had loads. Sadly they are going to have to wait until next summer. We feel this year is an unprecedented year and we don't want to make any compromises on the quality of the event we produce. So we will be taking a break this year and going ahead in 2010 with our first announcement in September 2009. In the mean time we can reveal a few snippets from HQ. Firstly, we will be returning at a different site. Mainly because we need more camping space. We also need to make getting our kit onto site a little easier. The new site will be in the heart of Yorkshire with equally stunning backdrops; we can assure you of that. Secondly, we have decided to extend the event to two days. It was over just a bit too quick last time and it will give you more time to unwind and relax after a hard days eating and drinking. We have some brilliant ideas for the day but don't want to give the game away too early. It will be different though. Finally, we want to make the way you pay more flexible. Last time we introduced the lowest booking fee around, next time we want to give more flexibility to this. So there will be early discount tickets, a new membership scheme allowing to you to buy for future events and even staggered payments to help with your cash flow. We'll still be bringing you the best electronic pop acts from around the world, the high production values, the sherpas, the luxurious toilets, the cocktail bars, the crèche and the pleasures of breakfast in bed for boutique campers all to make your stay with us a little bit more refined. We will be in touch at the end of the summer with more details of our special second day, some pictures of the new site and more hints to what we have planned for our out of the ordinary second event.
